Meet Bob Houghton

Bob Houghton is a 58 year old Oregonian and has been guiding and instructing fly-fishing full-time since 1975.  He is licensed and permitted by State of Oregon, U.S. Forest Service, BLM, and the Coast Guard.  He is also a member of McKenzie Guides Association, Deschutes River Public Outfitters, and the Rogue River Guide Association.

Bob enjoys teaching both fly-casting and fly-tying to clients, friends, and family.  His favorite fishing in Oregon is on the McKenzie River, chasing native rainbow trout with a fly rod.  Not far behind, however, is his love for fly fishing for bonefish on the flats near his vacation retreat in the Bahamas.  Another favorite is hand-lining with bait for groupers...which usually end up as dinner.
